Melbourne alleys.

I was on an assignment last week, it was for a wine label design job.
One of the designer’s ideas is based on the look and feel of signage in Melbourne alley ways.
So I spent an afternoon wandering around the city with a 135mm lens.
I didn’t realise it then, but once I laid all the photos out on the screen, they do look distinctively Melbourne:
Same same in a rigid way, but still kinda different?
I know big cities like New York or Tokyo owns the golden standard of seductive signage, but I think Melbourne has its own unique voice too.
They don’t shout; they whisper.
