I met Phil at a wedding in Kuala Lumpur last year.
Neither of us knew his design practice would later pick up a couple of architecture awards.
And little did I know they are also responsible for the retail design of Melbourne’s iconic fried chicken brand.

So when I was approached to shoot Belle’s at Windsor I was excited to say the least.
Phil said the space was a minor rejig of an existing space, so focus on the details.
So I brought an 85mm lens and tried to look for textures.

I remember shooting this the second week after the baby was born.
Perhaps it was the lack of sleep talking, but the fried chicken wings tasted like the best fried chicken in the world then.
Deprivation is the best seasoning.
