Last week I was in sunny Mildura to shoot a wedding.
Except it wasn’t exactly sunny.
The rain was so thick that our pilot had to turn back to Melbourne, refuel, and attempt to land again.
True story, it was the talk of the town.

The whole weekend was drizzling and overcast.

The morning I was flying out, I decided to take a stroll around the town.
Armed with my film camera loaded with Portra 800 (suitable for overcast weather).
And wadya know, the sun was out full blast, 9am, sending me off (not so suitable for Portra 800).

Maybe it’s the palm trees.
Or the flat land.
The town had shades of eighties California all over.
A time capsule in town form.
I wish it’d stay the same.
