Pub food reminds me of Friday afternoons.
For many it’s a relaxing time, but it brings me back to work in my past life.
There’s always a brief that came in last minute which needed to be done by 5pm, so we had to quickly scoff down the meal and return to the agency.
On my way back I fantasized about others, talking about sports, real estate, their children, that new movie, maybe a weekend getaway.
As I was shooting at Half Moon last August, I realised that even though I left the agency life, I was still an outsider looking observing everyone else’s Friday afternoon.
Just that this time, I no longer needed to fantasize.
I confirmed that this place is the most suitable for people in Brighton to wind down, talk about sports, real estate, their children, that new movie and maybe a weekend getaway.
