As I was driving from Newcastle airport to Maitland, I said to myself:
Holy crap. Holy crap. Holy crap. This is happening.
You see, it was my first time in Newcastle.
And it was as beautiful and rustic as I imagined.
Emily and Andy found me on ze internet.
We had a chat on Skype, agreed on a contract.
5 months later I got on a plane and showed up 18 hours before their wedding day.
It’s so simple it scares me.
Technology also scares me.
A person sitting in a room hiring another person thousands of kilometres away though a magic box.
Which is essentially made of plastic, aluminium, chips, minerals, electricity and radio waves.
But what really send chills down my bones, is the amount of trust my clients have in me.
I know this is the part I should be saying ‘because I’m worth it’ and sell my talent.
Yet I am also fully aware that without trust, talent is nothing.
Emily and Andy if you’re reading this: thank you.
This wedding is also the main feature on Nouba today.
We have seen your images of the Newcastle Pump House and think they are amazing and truely capture this venue well. We would love to use some of your images for brides considering this venue with your permission and crediting your work. Could you please email me to discuss if you approve of this.
