I’d heard of ESP even before they contacted me.
Dude, they’ve been awarded two hats within a year of operating.
Having said that, once I started shooting I was taken aback.
I know they’re good, but not at this level. Not like this.
It’s hard to explain, but when the furniture, cutlery, crockery, table decorations and the food come together to form a consistent visual style guide, you don’t have to taste the food to know this is something special.
The standard is definitely up there, as refined as the bigger establishments, but the space is comfortably small and not as intimidating.
It’s been a while since I see food as art.
During post processing, I tried my best to match the photographs to the mood.
Hence they are more under-exposed than I’m used to.
It is the most elegant food narrative I’d documented so far.
I wonder if they play “American Boy” during service?
