Every time a blog features my wedding, I’m always interested to see which photos they think are essential to capture their readers.
Sometimes the photos I fancy do not get chosen.
And then some, which I never thought of choosing, make me rethink the way I shoot.
Last week, a potential client emailed me about a wedding I shot that was featured on another blog.
He asked if there’s more.
A different couple, different time, maybe?
That’s a great question.
More couples should make this request.
Clients should be able to see photos that aren’t published and filtered by blogs and publications.
They should be able to see the B side of a featured post, a polished website.
Sure, photographers will frown and whine about the invasion of artistic integrity.
But we gotta show them what we’re worth.
The ‘caveat emptor’ stories I hear about the industry, some of them make my blood boil.
So yes we have to show them we’re not a one trick pony, and we are consistent across the board.
It also gives you a second chance to retell the story, without intervention.
This Launceston wedding was featured on Nouba last week.
Everything that should be said about Christina and Jared have been touched on in the article.
But consider this the director’s cut.
One I would gladly do again.
