Rebecca and Sovann got married during summer.
But it rained most of the day. Heavily.
Yet being a high functioning consultant, Rebecca was ready for everything.
Including bracing the thunderstorm with me.
But I remember being awestruck by the greens of Glasshaus in Richmond.
And how I was fed the best wedding meal ever by the folks from Blakes Feast.
I remember how Rebecca loves cooking.
She shared a steamed fish recipe that I now cook for my family at least once a week.
The most recent Masterchef winner used to live across her corridor in Windsor.
They were working in the same company, albeit different department.
We’re technically the same person, just that I’m not a Masterchef, she said.
Sovann couldn’t be there when I deliver the USB to them.
He was exhausted from attending a company function with her.
It’s not his thing, but you know, he gotta shake the tambourine, she said.
A reference which made me realised we went to the same Chris Rock stand-up comedy last year.
I’m sharing all these snippets because capturing a wedding is seldom a one-day affair.
Their words, attitudes, personality, interactions, they all linger on.
I’m just trying to do them justice from behind the camera.
