The more I realise how long ago 1970 was, the more I feel gobsmacked about Taiyo no To, the Tower of the Sun.
It was the landmark of the 1970 Osaka World Expo.
Back then you could even enter the inside of the tower for a small art exhibition.
40 years on, I don’t think we will ever see such radical design approved on structures anymore.
